I realize this won’t end bickering among those who like to argue, but this struck me as interesting.

The theory behind evolution proves that religion is good for humanity. Currently, only about 15% of the world population are non-religious. A majority of the human population has survived with a need to believe in a higher being.

So regardless of whether religious texts are true or not, they’re actually good for the progression of humanity. And if that’s not the case, evolution suggests we should see a decline in popularity of religion in the centuries to come.
